MEET THE TEAM

We are passionate about working collaboratively and use our skills and experience to divert young people from danger and set them on a more positive path to a brighter future.

OUR MISSION, VISION & VALUES

Our Mission

We exist to reduce both the threat and glorification of knife crime amongst 14-25 year olds AND reduce the number of stabbings inflicted across the UK.
What's The Point will break the cycle of knife crime through our groundbreaking and innovative delivery strategy by re-shaping attitudes towards knife crime through education, open dialogue, lobbying, partnerships and support.

Our Vision

We are the the only complete,
multi-partnership provider in the UK who will support individuals, families and communities away from the negative impact of knife crime in the UK.

Our work will allow a future where knife crime is no longer a prevalent threat in our communities, where early intervention means young people choose peaceful resolutions over violence and where support and accountability is the foundation for building safer, happier environments for all.

OUR VALUES

Confidence

Committed to driving change, inspiring young people, and creating safer communities with unwavering passion and purpose. Helping to build or rebuild young people's confidence after it has been stripped away from them due to unfortunate or unforseen circumstances. We want them to feel that they can contribute to society and have a purpose in life to develop and thrive.

Community

We believe that if it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a dedicated network of empowered individuals, resilient systems and compassionate leaders to build a community strong enough to prevent violence. Knife crime isn't just about knives - it's about what drives someone to pick one up. Addressing that requires a community centered approach that delivers early intervention, ongoing holistic support and positive empowering outcomes.

Empowerment

From the time that young people start their What's The Point journey, they will be empowered with the opportunity to make positive choices for themselves. They will learn how to recognise good opportunities and make good choices to step into opportunities in education, skills, training and work.

Accountability

It is the foundation of What's The Point? We champion, support and lobby for responsibility at all levels, from young people to the general public, government and educational/care providers, to create a collective commitment to safer communities.
